Artist/Owner Clay “at the easel”

ROBERT CLAY KANZLER

Artist/Owner of RCK Gallery

I was alway drawing as a young teenager but became entranced with art after my mother hired Joseph Bernard, a professor at The Center for Creative Studies, in Detroit, to tutor me over the summer. That summer my life changed forever, and I was hooked by the desire to create art.

I then attended The Hochkiss School, and Trinity College, in Hartford, but kept. my focus on my drawing, and painting throughout. During the summers, I attended both The Center for Creative Studies, and The Rhode Island School of Design, in order to further my skills. After college I moved to a converted barn outside of Woodstock, Vermont and began to paint and show in earnest.

My work has been exhibited in galleries and museums across the country, and I have paintings in many exciting collections. This is my first foray into running my own personal gallery.

My intent with RCK GALLERY is to bring the arts, in all of it’s wonderful shapes and sizes, to our wonderful town.
